I've been training with Victor and Aimee for 6 months and have so far lost 49 pounds. I gained over 90 pounds in just a few short years. I blamed everything and everyone else for why I gained so much weight-- kids, work, stress, etc. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without being short of breath or tie my own shoes. My resting heart rate was 108, I was officially pre-diabetic with a elevated A1c, my blood pressure was rising and I couldn't be the active mom I wanted to be. I was always tired, stressed, and aggravated. I saw a picture of myself tagged in a Facebook post in March and reached my breaking point. I didn't even recognize the person I had become.
I started going to the gym and watched as Victor and Aimee worked so patiently with all of their clients. After just a few weeks, I knew I was losing steam and getting bored with the normal cardio routine so decided to begin training.
Well folks, I'm not gonna lie and say it was easy, lol. I couldn't even run 1 lap--which is only 1/11th of a mile without stopping halfway through gasping for air. As I said, even walking up the stairs was a challenge. But I kept going. They began to work closely with me on my diet. I had NEVER heard of a macro before, but suddenly I could tell you how many grams of carbs and protein I ate the day before. I learned how to eat to live and NOT live to eat. I learned how simple changes throughout the day can result in huge weight loss. I started paying attention to everything, how many calories I would burn each day versus how many I consumed. I began taking accountability for what I put into mouth, and finally correlated how hard I had to work to burn the calories I wanted to consume. I was only able to change my way of thinking about food because of Victor and Aimee. They held me accountable and supported and guided me through the most difficult days.
Victor and Aimee are not just there for the training sessions 2-3 times a week. They have been there every single day since this journey began. Never do I feel like an inconvenience, bother, or just a client. They treat me like family and have been the secret to my success.
I continue to see my body transform and know that with the continued help and support of Victor and Aimee, I will reach my fitness and weight loss goals.
I am now able to run those 11 laps and not feel like im going to have a heart attack. I can do 50 burpees and not pass out. I can run up 5 flights of stairs like its no ones business. My resting heart rate is now 64. My blood pressure is normal, I am no longer pre-diabetic, and yes folks-- I can tie my own shoes without feeling like I'm depriving my brain of oxygen :) I still have work to do and am still 40 pounds away from my goal... but I know I will be updating this review in just a few short months proclaiming victory because I still have these two in my corner.
They are not only great trainers, but amazing people as well with the most kind and genuine hearts. Victor and Aimee have truly saved my life and are the reason my kids now cant keep up with me!
